Speaker Introduction: Ms. Suzanne Reynolds is one of the founders of the US-China Business Council (previously called the National Council for US-China Trade). She was the first director of Business Advisory Services (1973-1979) for the council, advising over 400 member companies on trade with China. She served as liaison between American companies and Chinese foreign trade corporations, providing introductions, solving trade problems, assisting with negotiations, and organizing and hosting trade delegations-including the FIRST commercial delegation from China to visit the US in 1974. She was Chairman of the Importer’s Advisory Committee, working with all US importers of Chinese goods.

From 1979 to 2003, Ms. Reynolds served as President of S.R. Reynolds Corporation, a trading and consulting company, assisting US companies on business development in China. Her clients included Xerox, GM, Grumman Aircraft, Goodyear Tire, Young & Rubicam (advertising company), and Associated Merchandising Corp.

In the very early 1970s, Ms. Reynolds worked as Editor in the Office of the Secretary General of the United Nations. Her primary responsibility was editing the Report of the Secretary General to the General Assembly.

Ms. Reynolds has a Master’s degree in the History of Chinese Education and a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies from Columbia University.

中国协会讲座系列定于一月十五日再次举行。本月的主讲人是美中贸易全国委员会 (US-China Business Council) 的创始人之一苏珊.雷诺女士。雷诺女士具有30年的美中贸易实战经验。在她就职于美中贸易全国委员会的六年间 （1973-1979），她曾为上百家美中企业牵线搭桥，协助中美企业谈判，并且于1974年成功邀请首届中国贸易代表团访美。
